Celebrating Portugal’s 1974 revolution

Published Apr 27, 2006 10:03 AM

Immigrants in Portugal participate in a demonstration of tens of thousands of people celebrating the anniversary of the April 25, 1974, revolution. A rebellion in the armed forces ended more than 40 years of fascist rule and opened the door to a worker upsurge that came close to taking power.
