June 28 — Demonstrators gathered in Durham, N.C., to oppose U.S. intervention in Iraq, calling for “No troops! No drones! No advisors! U.S. stay out of Iraq! Money for jobs and education, not for war and incarceration!” Members of the Durham branch of Workers World Party, Black Workers for Justice, Veterans for Peace and others helped to build the demonstration. The street protest received lots of supportive honks and raised fists from drivers and passers-by.
