Bangladeshi solidarity with BLM

In solidarity and unity with the Black Lives Matter movement and immigrants under attack, the Bangladeshi American Community Council held a Town Hall meeting in Parkchester, Bronx, on Jan. 31. The meeting followed the hospitalization of a prominent member of the community, who had been attacked by youths influenced by media demonization. Based only on his beard, they called this Bangladeshi man “ISIS.”

The People’s Power Assembly, International Action Center, Why Accountability, Pakistan USA Freedom Forum and Guyanese American Workers United participated and spoke, along with several religious leaders and community groups.
