Workers reject McDonald’s racism

After facing a pattern of racial discrimination and sexual harassment, 17 Black and Latino/a McDonald’s workers in the state of Virginia were told by management that they “need to get the ghetto out of the store.” Then management fired them. In response to a call for actions in solidarity with these workers, and all who face racism and low wages at work, the Buffalo Anti-Racism Coalition partnered with the Coalition for Economic Justice and others to rally on Feb. 27 at the McDonald’s on Main Street in the Buffalo, N.Y., suburb of Williamsville.
