Memorial march for Ernest Duenez Jr.

Manteca, Calif. — Ernest Duenez Jr. was killed by police officer John Moody in this city on June 8, 2011. Exactly three years later, about 100 marchers gathered to remember and honor Duenez. They marched in near 100-degree weather over two miles from the street where he was killed to the Manteca Police Department, chanting “No justice, No peace, No killer police.” After a short rally at the MPD, marchers left for a barbeque at a nearby park.

A very graphic video from the MPD’s car camera that shows Moody killing Duenez can be seen at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LhnY17F_eiQ.
