Participants included a delegation from the “We Deserve Better” Workers Assembly from Baltimore as well as officials of the Washington, D.C., and Northern Virginia Labor Councils. Both council heads spoke at the rally, along with Food and Commercial Workers union Local 1994 President Gino Renne. SuperShuttle drivers also spoke, as did some Workers Assembly activists.
The group then held a daring car caravan through the airport, which slowed traffic. President Renne proclaimed that the union will be with the drivers all the way until justice is won.
