Around 100 people participated in the Day of Awareness of Assata and All Political Prisoners at a meeting in Philadelphia on Nov. 2. The program included a screening of “Eyes on the Rainbow,” a documentary on Assata Shakur produced in Cuba. Speakers included Ramona Africa, Dr. Tony Monteiro, Joan Gibbs and Rosemari Mealy. The program was sponsored by MOVE, the International Action Center, the International Concerned Family and Friends of Mumia Abu-Jamal, Sankofa Community Empowerment and Building People Power.
