Cleveland activists mark six-month anniversary of war on Iran

Cleveland anti-imperialist activists demonstrated on Aug. 28 to say “Hands off Iran.” The date marked the six-month anniversary of the start of the U.S.-Israeli war against Iran.

Sponsors included Cleveland Peace Action, Cleveland United Against War, Freedom Road Socialist Organization, InterReligious Task Force on Central American, Northeast Ohio Coalition for the Homeless and Workers World Party.

Some speakers at the rally made a point of opposing the “open letter” published by the Guardian, which attacked the Iranian government and attempted to draw an absurd comparison between Black political prisoners in the U.S. and prisoners held in Iran.
