Seattle: Rally demands: ‘U.S. out of Korea!’
A rally in Seattle on Aug. 15 demanded that the U.S. military force that has been occupying South Korea since the 1950-53 war, now numbering 27,000 troops, be withdrawn. It also demanded an end to the U.S.-led militarization of the Pacific and to stop using Korea as a launching pad for a U.S. war against the People’s Republic of China.

The Haebang Collective organized the rally at Seattle Center. Featured speakers included activists from Korea (shown in photo), a Filipino speaker from Bayan South Seattle and a speaker from Anti-Imperialists for Palestine. According to reports, thousands of people marched on Aug. 15 against U.S. occupation of Korea.
