Iran’s Supreme National Security Council secretary outlines six conditions for reopening Hormuz.

On Aug. 8, Mohammad Bagher-Zolghadr, Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, outlined six conditions that he said the United States must meet to “correct its behavior,” warning that the Strait of Hormuz will not reopen unless those conditions are fulfilled.

• Cease all verbal threats against Iran’s leadership and refrain from insulting the sanctities of the Iranian nation.
• Permanently end its wars and acts of aggression against Iran and its allies in Lebanon, Palestine, Yemen and Iraq.
• Withdraw its military forces (naval, air and other) and lift its naval blockade and radar surveillance around Iran.
• Pay full compensation to Iran for the damage caused by the two wars of aggression imposed upon it.
• Lift all unjust and unlawful sanctions imposed against the Iranian nation.
• Unconditionally release Iran’s blocked and confiscated assets and return the stolen funds to the Iranian people.
