Almost 100 people marched in 20-degree weather chanting “IOF, ICE, PPD — they’re all the same!” behind a “Right to resist, Right to return” banner in Philadelphia Feb. 1.
Organized by the Philly Palestine Coalition, they marched from Rittenhouse Square to the Art Museum, placing a focus on political prisoners by holding high banners of Marwan Barghouti, Ahmad Sa’adat, Dr. Hussam Aju Safiya, Rodney Hinton and Mumia Abu-Jamal. International solidarity was a main point of the demonstration, with speakers raising the common global struggle, from Palestine, Venezuela and Cuba to resistance to ICE here in the U.S., the belly of the imperialist beast.
