Seattle protest hits Chevron oil – imperialist exploiter

For the past year, weekly protests in Seattle have targeted Chevron, the only U.S. oil profiteer in Venezuela and primary oil provider to Israel. Motorists in rush-hour traffic support the protests by honking their horns as they pass, a regular event.

People of Palestine and Venezuela share a common enemy: Chevron owns the oil reserves in their neighborhoods. Chevron also controls much of the oil in the Persian Gulf region. Some tens of thousands of U.S. troops are stationed there, with one of their major responsibilities being to guard the oil extraction process and assure that U.S. oil monopolies like Chevron are able to extract oil and profits.

Chevron provides the fuel for nearly half the electricity for the Israeli warfare state. Meanwhile, President Donald Trump claims without basis that this hemisphere, including Venezuela, belongs to the U.S. empire while U.S. forces kidnap President Nicolás Maduro and First Combatant Cilia Flores and bomb Venezuela, as the U.S. Campaign for Palestinian Rights states in their documents.
