Dyke March against racism
This year's San Francisco Dyke March,
celebrating its 12th anniversary with the theme of "Uprooting
Racism," brought out more than 50,000 lesbians, transgender
activists and their supporters on June 26.
According to march organizers, "This year's march is one of
the largest anti-racist marches in the history of San
Francisco."
The anti-racist, anti-war campaign of LeiLani Dowell, a
Workers World Party member running for Congress on the Peace
and Freedom Party ticket, was well received throughout the
march that wound its way through San Francisco from Dolores
Park to the Castro District.
