SAN DIEGO, CALIF.
Victim of police remembered
Two years have passed since San Diego police gunned down
unarmed Black athlete Demetrius DuBose. Since his murder, San
Diego cops have killed at least 16 more unarmed people. When
members of the Ad Hoc Coalition to Commemorate the Death of
Demetrius DuBose gathered July 24 with protest signs at a busy
San Diego intersection, they found wide support. The sound of
motorists honking their horns in solidarity continued almost
nonstop for the duration of the demonstration.
