'Bush & Gore must
go'
In
San Diego on Dec. 9, the local coalition to free Mumia Abu-Jamal organized a
rally and march through the downtown area.
At
one point during the march, the demonstrators encountered a large group of
hostile Bush supporters. The marchers responded with chants of "Bush Must Go!
Gore Must Go!"
An
unexpected result of this confrontation was substantial coverage of the protest
by the city's evening television news
programs.
