Albright surprised
When Secretary of State Madeleine Albright met
with British Foreign Secretary Robin Cook for a news conference
outside Whitehall on March 9, she expected a kinder reception
than she had received at Ohio State University Feb. 18.
She was disappointed.
A group of angry demonstrators, called into action by the
Campaign Against Sanctions and War on Iraq, shouted down the
two imperialist statespeople. The protesters demanded they end
the murderous sanctions against Iraq.
CASWI Coordinator Hugh Stephens said that Albright, along
with other U.S. and British leaders, have blatantly lied about
their "legal authority" to militarily attack Iraq.
