Detroit autoworkers protest

detroit_0121Despite bitter cold and wind, rank-and-file autoworkers and supporters protested Jan. 10 outside the North American International Auto Show in Detroit. The action was called by the Autoworker Caravan and was supported by members of the Moratorium Now! Coalition to Stop Foreclosures, Evictions and Utility Shutoffs and the National Action Network. AWC attacked the “gigantic profits” of the auto companies, made at the expense of workers in the plants — here and around the world — as well as the environment.
