International Workers’ Day request
Published May 3, 2011 9:10 PM
From the editors of Workers World
From Havana to Caracas, from Istanbul to Johannesburg, from Kolkata to Manila, hundreds of thousands of workers celebrated International Workers' Day on May 1, bringing their demands into the streets and showing their strength. We focused this week’s issue on covering May Day in the United States — which is where May Day originated and where it is now making a comeback as a day of workers’ struggle. Our coverage of most international May Day actions will be in the next issue. If there was a May 1 demonstration in your city, please send a short description and a photo, if you have one, to [email protected].
