LGBTQ rights march spotlights solidarity

Published Jun 5, 2008 10:36 PM

The Latin American community held its annual lesbian/gay/bi/trans/queer march on June 1 in the Jackson Heights area of Queens, N.Y., marching down 37th Street. Pictured here is a delegation carrying a “Rainbow Solidarity” banner with the Cuban 5 prisoners, part of the May 1st Coalition contingent, which linked the struggle for LGBTQ rights with the struggle for immigrant rights.
