New York immigrant rights conference

The May 1 Immigrant Rights Coalition hosted a one-day “Know Your
Rights” conference in New York City on June 9 that attracted immigrants
from Asia, Africa and Latin America as well as U.S. supporters. Participants
learned practical and legal methods to resist
“La Migra” Immigration Custom Enforcement terror and at the same
time denounced ongoing ICE raids and deportations. The group also condemned the
current Senate immigration bill, which still poses a danger for immigrant
rights.
